Essay Editing Service FAQs

Our carefully-selected editing team is currently made up of medical students and residents who have completed our rigorous screening, application, and training process.  It’s critical for your essays to be viewed from multiple different perspectives, so we make it a priority to have a very diverse team of editors.

These experts have edited and perfected countless personal statements, AMCAS activity essays, and secondary essay and approach every essay with focus and attention to detail, ultimately ensuring consistent, high-quality results for every aspiring doctor. Not to mention, by experiencing the medical school admissions process first-hand, they have cultivated a deep understanding for what exactly resonates with committee members and developed a novel approach on how admissions essays are ultimately presented.

You will receive your review within 48-72 hours of sending in your draft.

Immediately after you purchase any Motivate MD package, you will receive a confirmation email along with the next steps to take.
To submit your essay(s), you will fill-out your “Essay Services Request Form”, which is where you will also upload a copy of your essay(s) for editing.

You will receive a confirmation email for your purchase (check your trash/spam folders, if you don’t see it within an hour) that outlines the immediate next steps in our service process. 

The short answer is no.  Although we started by reviewing only medical school application essays, we have been able to cater our editing secrets to make any essay memorable. 

We have helped those applying to medical residencies, dental school, nursing school, and grad/law school, create very effective and unique essays.  Just give us any information you can during the checkout process to help us optimize our reviews to fit your specific situation!

If at any point you feel that you are not receiving the level of support expected, you agree to notify us right away when it happens so we can step in and address the issue. You may reach out via text, call, or email, and we will work with you to make any necessary adjustments. This may include additional support, guidance, or reassignment to a different team member.

Our goal is always to resolve any concerns and ensure you feel fully supported throughout the process.

If concerns are not raised during the service period, we may not be able to address them after the fact.

In the rare event that we are unable to find a reasonable solution after these efforts, we will provide a full refund.

This guarantee is based on the quality of service provided and does not apply to application outcomes, including interviews, acceptances, or match results, which are outside of our control.

  • An introduction/strategy session for the team to get to know you and go over the best strategies to use during a medical school interview.
    • S.T.A.R. Coaching: Learn how to effectively respond to any question by using the S.T.A.R. method. Situation, Task, Action, and Result. 
  • One-on-one full mock interview with either a medical student or doctor, along with immediate feedback. Each mock interview is custom to the applicant. 
  • Individualized interview support to help you best convey yourself
  • Comprehensive analysis of your verbal and non-verbal performance 
  • An Evaluation Form to know exactly what you need to work on 
  • An interview question bank to prepare for any question that may come your way during the interviews

The Premium Interview Prep package includes an additional full mock medical school interview. 

  1. Do you have experience with virtual and in-person interviewing?
  2. Do you have experience utilizing the STAR method?
  3. Does you know how to answer the question “Why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?” in an effective and targeted way? 

Purchase the Starter Interview Prep if you only answered “no” to question 1. 

Purchase the Premium Interview Prep or the Ultimate Interview Prep if you answered “no” to more than one of the above questions.

Absolutely! Once you purchase a package you will receive an immediate confirmation email with the next steps. Depending on your availability for the session, we can have you talking with someone within 24 hours of your purchase.   

Yes, after your mock interview you will be sent the video recording within 24 hours.
