- 3.6 overall and 3.6 science (biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics), averaged over the first three years at W&J, with no grade below B− and no repeated course.
- MCAT to continue
- Required by May of the junior year, with at least 509 overall and no section below 126.
Complete all medical-school prerequisites at W&J and the shadowing and community service set in the acceptance letter, then apply to Katz through AMCAS the summer before senior year as a restricted combined BA/MD applicant. Applying to any other medical school relinquishes the reserved seat.

What’s included
These 47 programs combine 15 entries from Motivate MD’s 2026-2027 Portal research with 32 additional programs checked against official university and medical-school sources.
When it was checked
The original research was reviewed . The additional program reviews are dated . Each entry shows its own date; later updates to individual fields are noted separately.
What we leave out
We include routes with documented official sources and confirmed institution identities. Inactive programs and records with unresolved research are withheld. We do not turn missing information into a zero, infer an unpublished program length, or treat a minimum GPA as an acceptance prediction.
Before you apply
Requirements and availability can change, and a listed program’s application window may already be closed. Use each program’s official links to confirm the cycle, deadlines, eligibility, and conditions before applying.
BS/MD & BS/DO questions, answered.
What is a BS/MD or BS/DO program?
A combined medical program connects an undergraduate degree with a medical degree. BS/MD and BA/MD pathways lead to a Doctor of Medicine (MD); BS/DO pathways lead to a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Entry timing, admissions benefits, and requirements for continuing to medical school differ by program.
How long do combined medical programs take?
Published pathways in this directory include six-, seven-, and eight-year options. Some combine undergraduate and medical coursework; others follow a 3+4 or 4+4 sequence. When the source does not state a total duration, the directory says “Not published” instead of assuming eight years. Residency training follows medical school and is not included in these totals.
Do BS/MD and BS/DO programs require the MCAT?
Some do, some do not, and some depend on the track or applicant’s eligibility. A waiver for one track or applicant does not apply to everyone at the same university. Use the MCAT filter, then open a program to read its score or waiver conditions and follow the official source before applying.
Does a combined program guarantee medical school admission?
The admission benefit is program-specific. A reserved or conditional seat can depend on college GPA, coursework, exams, interviews, and professional standards. A guaranteed interview is a different benefit from a medical school seat. Each entry describes the documented conditions; meeting a published minimum does not guarantee selection into the combined program.
Can I apply from high school?
Many listed programs accept applications from high school seniors or incoming college freshmen. Others invite students after undergraduate admission, and some allow limited college entry. Check “When to apply” in the program details, along with residency and citizenship rules. College-stage early assurance programs are a separate category.
Is this a complete list of every BS/MD and BS/DO program?
No. The directory combines Motivate MD’s 2026–2027 Portal research with dated reviews of additional programs against official university and medical-school sources. Unresolved, inactive, and insufficiently documented records are withheld. Each program shows its own research date and official links. A listed program may have a closed application window; check its current admissions instructions before applying.
