Our diverse team of medical students and physicians provide 1-on-1 tutoring tailored to you. We focus on what works best for you to reach your goal score.
Our USMLE tutors are physicians who have successfully navigated Step exams and bring firsthand experience, proven study strategies, and a personalized approach to help you prepare with confidence.
We haven’t forgot what it’s like being a student, which is why we refuse to charge outrageous prices. Help us change the game and continue our mission of providing superior quality at a price you can afford.
If you’re not satisfied and we can’t find a solution that gives you the support you need, we’ll provide a full refund.
If you don’t feel more confident after completing your three sessions, we’ll add one free session to help you strengthen your strategy.
If, after 5 sessions, you don’t feel your strategy or understanding has noticeably improved, we’ll add 2 free sessions to refine your plan and build momentum.
Students who engage consistently in USMLE tutoring often see meaningful improvement on practice exams, commonly in the range of 5–10 points on Step 2 CK practice tests, along with increased confidence, efficiency, and test-day readiness.
If you complete your full tutoring package and do not feel that your preparation or performance on practice exams has meaningfully improved, we will work with you to adjust your study plan, match you with a different tutor, or provide additional follow-up sessions at no extra cost.
Our guarantees reflect what matters most: your confidence, your progress, and your results. We’ll be with you every step of the way.
There are several common signs that USMLE tutoring may be helpful for you:
Plateauing on practice exams or question banks
If your NBME scores or question-bank performance have stalled despite consistent studying, a tutor can help identify patterns, refine strategy, and target inefficiencies.
Difficulty translating knowledge into exam performance
Many students understand the material but struggle with question interpretation, pacing, or test strategy. USMLE tutoring focuses on bridging that gap.
Limited time or competing demands
Balancing medical school, clinical rotations, research, or personal responsibilities can make studying overwhelming. A tutor can help streamline your plan and prioritize high-yield work.
Test anxiety or confidence concerns
Anxiety is common with high-stakes exams. Tutors help you develop repeatable strategies to stay calm, focused, and steady on exam day.
Struggles with specific systems or topics
If certain content areas continue to hold you back, tutoring allows for targeted, efficient review rather than broad, unfocused studying.
Retaking an exam or preparing under a tight timeline
Students preparing for a retake or working within a compressed schedule often benefit from structured guidance and accountability.
USMLE tutoring is not just for students who are struggling. Many students work with a tutor to optimize strategy, improve efficiency, and feel more confident heading into Step 1 or Step 2 CK.
You’ll complete an intake form with a series of questions, including an option to set preferences for the tutor(s) you’d like to work with. Based on your responses and availability, we’ll handle the matchmaking, and a tutor will be in touch.
Our top priority is ensuring you receive the support you need. If you feel that your tutor isn’t the right fit, let us know as soon as possible, and we’ll match you with someone else.
Structure will depend on your goals, timeline, and exam, but a typical tutoring experience looks something like this:
First Session
We start by reviewing your USMLE background, including prior practice exams, question bank performance, and overall study approach. Together, you and your tutor will identify strengths, gaps, and priorities, then build a clear, personalized study plan tailored to your schedule and exam timeline.
Second Session
Early sessions focus on strategy and efficiency. This may include question interpretation, pacing, and how to approach NBME-style questions. These core strategies are revisited throughout your prep and adapted as your performance evolves.
Third Session and Beyond
Ongoing sessions are highly individualized. You and your tutor will work through content gaps, refine test-taking strategy, and review practice questions and exams. The tutors will help to monitor progress, identify patterns, and continuously adjust your plan to maximize improvement over time.
Final Session
As you approach test day, sessions focus on readiness. This includes reviewing test-day logistics, pacing strategies, and approaches to managing anxiety. The goal is to help you feel confident, prepared, and steady heading into your exam.
Continued Support
When your tutoring sessions come to an end, our support does not. We are always happy to provide guidance, answer questions, or help you think through next steps as you continue your journey toward residency.
Scheduling
Tutoring is scheduled based on your availability. We work with busy medical students and residents and aim to offer flexible scheduling whenever possible.
